About the Role
As a Network & Systems Specialist, you will architect and support stable connectivity across corporate offices, client sites, and remote endpoints. You will configure routers, managed switches, and firewalls, establish site-to-site VPNs, and troubleshoot latency and packet loss issues systematically.
Responsibilities
- ✓Configure managed switches, VLAN segmentation, and routing protocols.
- ✓Deploy and maintain site-to-site and client-to-site VPN connections (WireGuard, OpenVPN, IPsec).
- ✓Configure perimeter firewalls (pfSense, Fortinet, or MikroTik) and traffic shaping rules.
- ✓Conduct wireless site surveys and deploy managed Wi-Fi access points for optimal coverage.
- ✓Diagnose network performance degradation using Wireshark, traceroute, and packet captures.
Technical Skills & Relevant Competencies
- ✓Solid knowledge of OSI model, IPv4 subnetting, NAT, DHCP, and DNS principles.
- ✓Hands-on experience configuring managed switches, routers, and firewalls.
- ✓Experience establishing and troubleshooting secure VPN tunnels.
- ✓Familiarity with enterprise Wi-Fi standards and interference troubleshooting.
- ✓Comfortable with structured cabling standards and patch panel terminations.
